My internet keeps randomly cutting off, and after doing a little research, I found out that it might have something to do with the killer suite that came pre-installed. Any tips on how to uninstall this and just have a regular connection?

Some details:

I use an Alienware 15 R3 (Signature Edition)

My laptop isn't the only device having issues, the same goes for my PS4.Bạn đang xem: Killer control center là gì

When I get disconnected, it won't let me reconnect to anything at all. (I'll provide pictures)

My internet (Spectrum) is known in my area to have frequent outages, and it doesn't help at all.

If you update to the most recent drivers off of Killer's website you will probably be fine. The ones off Dell's site seem to be the bad ones but they could have updated those recently as well as we don't see as many people complaining about the wireless the last few months.

Killer cards are really good. It's true that they don't play well with some router/modem vendors/models, but they are Awesome when they work. I'll advise to get rid of the Killer whatever suite. You don't really need it. To do this, download the latest Killer Control Center. Then uninstall all the Killer stuff and restart. When the computer is back on, double click on the Killer Control Center installer file that you downloaded. At some point it would give you the option to do a Custom installation. Click on that. You'll see a list of features. To the left of Application, there's an icon you can click on. Click on it and select the red X “This feature would not be installed”. Then continue with the installation and restart. See if it works

There are very few devices that do not work well with the Killer Control Center, and we are interested in knowing about every one of them. We do know about the devices in this article – https://www.killernetworking.com/driver-downloads/kb/faq/35-router-issues-with-1535 – but they all have updated or “beta” firmware that solves the issue. If you know of any modem or router that doesn't work with the current Killer Control Center, please reach out to us directly at killersupportrivetnetworks.com and let us know!

Hello iCrimsxon,

If all of your devices are having issues, then the issue isn't going to be related to one device, unless that device is causing the firmware on your router to crash. There are a few routers out there that have buggy firmware and will crash when some MU-MIMO adapters connect to them, including the 1535. We have them listed here – https://www.killernetworking.com/driver-downloads/kb/faq/35-router-issues-with-1535. However, this would be really obvious as your entire connection would reset every time your laptop tried to connect via Wi-Fi, and it's only those specific routers, as far as we know.

Wireless?

Haven't had disconnects, random drops, whatever since then

I actually had to go back to my Killer card from my Intel card as I couldn't get past 70mbps upload on my wireless. Killer pulled my full 150mbps up but the Intel just wouldn't for some reason. I used Windows stock drivers for it and have not had a problem since.
